Haula is a versatile singer-songwriter and classically trained pianist writing under three musical projects: Imie Taala and Kayiah and is signed to The Stable Music and Kobalt Music Publishing. Under these projects she blends different genres including Pop, Soul, RnB and Pop-Rock and influences ranging from Nina Simone, Etta James, Beyonce, Sia, Sade and Adele.

Since her debut single in 2015, she has built a reputation and considerable tastemaker support including NME Magazine, Lines of Best Fit, Pigeons and Planes, PRS M-Magazine, Q-Magazine, MTV, The Clash, The 405 and Wonderland as well as radio support in the form of BBC Radio One, Huw Stephens, BBC 6Music and BBC 1XTRA. She has also featured on Spotify playlists including New Music Friday Germany, France and UK as well as being nominated for two UMAs in 2018 for Best Female Solo Act and Best Urban Act.

Her work has been featured on numerous TV networks and brands including ABC, Netflix, CW, Hulu, Sky and many more.

Haula holds a Masters in Commercial Song-writing and Production at world-renowned Tileyard Studios after being awarded a full Scholarship from Spitfire Audio and grants from the MOBOS / Help Musicians UK to work on new music.

She writes for all her musical projects and collaborates with talented writers and producers such as Steve Manovski (Sigala, Nile Rogers, French Montana, Meghan Trainer, Ella Eyra), Tony Esterley (SIA, BTS, Andra Day, Ashe, NCT 127, Raekwon, Yo Gotti), Alex Von Guggenberg (Ruelle) and many others.

Her writing credits include artist such as Davis Naish, Luke Singh and artists at Tileyard Music, Nottinghill Gate Music and Universal Records such as Roxie (winner of the Voice Poland and Eurovision) which went to Number 1 and went Gold in Poland and features Haula’s backing vocals.
